If you need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night falling asleep again is often easy enough. However, you'll find it much more difficult should you bang your foot on the side of a shoe discarded somewhere on the route between toilet and bed.

5. Be sure that the blinds on each window have no little gaps in them. A ray of sunshine penetrating your sweet dreams through a crack in the curtains will bring you awake much faster than you'd ever think.
