Understanding select hotels cities hotels.com date
People who move around a lot want hotels. It's just the way it is, but there's no reason why you should suffer substandard service. Here are a few tips to get a really good deal from your hotel stay.
1. Avoid taking a room near an elevator, or anywhere near an ice machine, or any other kind of machinery. It may seem fine prior to going to bed. However, when the lights are out you will feel the tremblings and hear barely audible sounds all the way until morning.

***** 5 star hotels - simply sumptuous luxury.
**** 4 star hotels - still quite magnificent.
*** 3 star hotels - probably the quality of hotel most of us use.
** 2 star hotels - still acceptable, but with less frills.
* 1 star hotels - the economy range. | 2. If a room can't be found away from external noises, keep in mind to stow away a pair of earplugs prior to starting out. You can get by by ramming soft paper inside your ears, but a proper pair of earplugs are like to have more effect and feel much more comfortable, allowing you to have a far superior nights sleep.
3. Take a close look at the alarm clock in your room to produce sure it has been turned off. On occasion prior guests whose sense of humor is wierd set the room alarm clock to an unforgiveably early hour for a bit of fun. Probably, they find it most amusing when they do it, but I'll bet that when it rings at 5am, you won't laugh when you come awake all of a sudden with pitch darkness all around in an unfamiliar place with an alarm clock making a deafening noise to waken the dead!
4. Before you finally bed down, don't forget the direct path from the bed to where the toilet is, and be certain that there are no obstruction in the way. Should you find the need to visit the bathroom later you normally won't find it difficult to get off to sleep again. But you're likely to stay wide awake if you stub your toe on something hard and unyielding left lying between you and the toilet door.
5. Check carefully that the curtains on each window are tightly shut. Bright sunlight in the morning focussing on your face through a crack in the curtains can rouse you from your dreams quicker than you'd care to know. And its often the end part of a night's sleep that are the best. Be careful not to interfere with those precious moments.
Of course, when all's said and done what happens in the hotel is up to you, and the world's your oyster. But my ideas on living in hotels are useful to me when Im travelling and using hotels, so why not try these tips.
