Anyone who travels want hotels. It's a travelling kind of thing, but you dont have to put up with substandard service. Let me give you some advice on how to get the best out of your hotel experience.
1. Avoid taking a room next to an elevator, or near by an ice maker, or other type of vending machine. It may seem fine prior to going to bed. But afterwards with the room darkened you'll become aware of the vibrations and hear every little sound throughout the night.

***** 5 star hotels - simply sumptuous luxury.
**** 4 star hotels - still quite magnificent.
*** 3 star hotels - probably the quality of hotel most of us use.
** 2 star hotels - still acceptable, but with less frills.
* 1 star hotels - the economy range. | 2. If you cannot get a room removed from outside sounds, remember to stow away suitable earplugs before setting out. You can improvise by putting toilet paper within your ears, but a proper pair of earplugs will work much better and provide better comfort, allowing you to have a much better nights sleep.
3. Examine the alarm clock where you're staying to make sure it has been turned off. Every so often prior hotel visitors with a strange sense of humour set the alarm clock in the hotel room to an unforgiveably early hour as their idea of a joke. They probably think it hilarious as they do it, but I'll bet that when it rings at 5am, you won't laugh when you come awake all of a sudden in a strange darkened room while an alarm clock making a deafening noise to waken the dead!
4. Before you finally bed down, bear in mind the path you need to take between your bed and the bathroom, and be certain that there are no obstruction in the way. If you need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night falling asleep again is often easy enough. But you're likely to stay wide awake if you stub your toe on something hard and unyielding cast aside between you and the toilet door.
5. Check carefully that the curtains on each window are fully closed. A ray of sunshine focussing on your face through a gap in the drapes will bring you awake much faster than you'd ever think. Of course, it's usually the final moments of slumber that have no equal. Don't upset such a special time.
Of course, at the end of the day its your hotel experience, and you can do what you like. However the tips I've outlined always help me when Im travelling and using hotels, so I recommend giving them a try.
