Travellers want hotels. It's just the way it is, but there's no reason why you should suffer unnacceptable service . Here are a few tips to get the most you can expect from your hotel stay.
1. You should not choose a room anywhere near an lift, or close to an ice maker, or any other kind of machinery. You may be satisfied with how things are prior to going to bed. However, when the lights are out you'll start to notice the vibrations and become aware of the smallest noises right through until daybreak.

If a trip to the bathroom become necessary later falling asleep again is often easy enough. But it wont be so easy if you stub your toe on something hard and unyielding left lying somewhere between the bed and the bathroom.
5. Make a careful check that the drapes covering the windows have no little gaps in them. A glare of sun hitting your closed eyelids through a hole in the blinds can awaken you more easily than you really want to know. You know it's the end part of a night's sleep that are the best. Don't ruin those precious moments.
