Information pertinent to Lincrist - Hilton Hotels

Lincrist - Hilton HotelsPeople who move around a lot want hotels. It's just the way it is, but you shouldn't have to tolerate substandard service. Let me give you some advice on how to get the most you can expect from your hotel stay.

1. Never take a room close to an elevator, or near an ice maker, or any other kind of machinery. You may be satisfied with how things are prior to going to bed. But afterwards with the room darkened you will feel the shakings and become aware of the smallest noises all night long.

***** 5 star hotels - simply sumptuous luxury.

**** 4 star hotels - still quite magnificent.

*** 3 star hotels - probably the quality of hotel most of us use.

** 2 star hotels - still acceptable, but with less frills.

* 1 star hotels - the economy range.

2. If you cannot get a room removed from outside sounds, remember to bring along a pair of earplugs before leaving home. You can improvise by putting toilet paper into your ears, but a proper pair of earplugs will work much better and feel much more comfortable, allowing you to have a much better nights sleep.

3. Examine the alarm clock where you're staying to create sure it has been turned off. On occasion prior hotel visitors who have a wierd idea of what's funny set the alarm clock in the hotel room to a time in the 'wee small hours' for a bit of fun. It may seem funny to them at the time, but you wont laugh at 4am when you come awake all of a sudden with pitch darkness all around in an unfamiliar place while an alarm clock clanging in your ears!

4. Before getting into bed for the night, don't forget the route from your bed to the toilet, and be clear that the route is not cluttered up with unnecessary things. If you need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night you can usually fall asleep again with ease. But you're likely to stay wide awake should you bang your foot on the heel of one of your shoes cast aside somewhere on the route between toilet and bed.

5. Be sure that the blinds of your room windows are tightly shut. A ray of sunshine hitting your closed eyelids through a gap in the drapes can rouse you from your dreams quicker than you might believe. It's always those last hours of sleep that stand superior. Don't ruin those precious moments.

But remember, when all's said and done its your hotel experience, and you can do what you like. Of course my way of coping with a hotel room are useful to me when Im travelling and using hotels, so I recommend giving them a try.
