4. Before you finally bed down, keep in mind the path you need to take between your bed and the bathroom, and make sure the path is completely clear. If you need to go to the toilet in the middle of the night you normally won't find it difficult to get off to sleep again. But you're likely to stay wide awake should you bang your foot on something hard and unyielding discarded somewhere on the route between toilet and bed.
5. Be sure that the blinds of your room windows are tightly shut. An early morning shaft of sunlight penetrating your sweet dreams through a gap in the drapes can awaken you more easily than you'd care to know. You know it's those last hours of sleep that stand superior. Be careful not to interfere with such a special time.
Of course, at the end of the day it's your life, and what you do is up to you. However my ideas on living in hotels are useful to me when Im travelling and using hotels, and with that in mind you could do worse than try them.
