4. Before you finally bed down, bear in mind the path you need to take between your bed and the bathroom, and be clear that the route is not cluttered up with unnecessary things. If a trip to the bathroom become necessary later falling asleep again is often easy enough. However, you'll find it much more difficult if you injure your toes on the side of a shoe cast aside somewhere between the bed and the bathroom.
5. Make a careful check that the drapes on each window are fully closed. Bright sunlight in the morning hitting your closed eyelids through a hole in the blinds will bring you awake much faster than you'd ever think. Of course, it's usually the closing moments of your sleep that stand superior. Do nothing that might spoil such a special time.
